The name Koddi means pillow in Icelandic. It describes sitting in the Koddi Sofa: as a sofa with a friendly and soft hug. Koddi was designed with the contrast between the rigid steel and large soft cushions. The result is a clean contemporary sofa that has clean lines yet provides soft and cozy seating. Designed in 2010 by Kim Nordentoft. Kim Nordentoft has used a newer material: laser-cut steel to create the steel ends which can be ordered in an endless array of colors. The Koddi sofa is also available with a wooden frame.
